How to Get to Playa de Pedra do Sal

Getting to Playa de Pedra do Sal is relatively straightforward, making it an accessible destination for many. If coming from A Coruña, the provincial capital, the drive will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. The most common route is to take the AG-55 Motorway towards Carballo. Once in Carballo, follow the signs towards the coast or the Baldaio/Razo area, and from there, the signage will guide you without problems to the beach. The roads are generally in good condition, and the scenery along the way prepares you for the beauty of the coastline.

For those traveling from Santiago de Compostela, the journey is a bit longer, around 50-60 minutes. The most direct option is to take the AP-9 Motorway towards A Coruña and then turn off onto the AG-55 near Carballo. Alternatively, you can opt for secondary roads which, although slower, offer more picturesque views of the Galician countryside. It's important to note that once we approach the beach, the last signs are usually clear, but it's always advisable to have a GPS or an updated map, especially if you're not familiar with the area.

Regarding parking, Playa de Pedra do Sal has designated areas where you can leave your vehicle without major complications, especially outside peak season. These areas are usually free and are a comfortable distance from the sandy beach, making it easy to access with all your beach gear.
