How to Get to Playa de Zlatni Rat

Getting to Playa de Zlatni Rat is part of the adventure and, fortunately, it is quite straightforward, although it requires a bit of planning depending on your starting point. The island of Brač, where the beach is located, is very well connected to the Croatian mainland.

From the Mainland

The most common way to reach Brač from the mainland is by ferry. We recommend:

• Ferry from Split to Supetar: Split is the main port and the largest city in the Split-Dalmatia region. From here, there are frequent ferry lines operated by Jadrolinija that connect Split with Supetar, the capital of Brač. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes and is suitable for vehicles and foot passengers. It is a pleasant crossing that allows us to enjoy the views of the archipelago.
• Catamaran from Split to Bol: For those who prefer to go directly to Bol without needing a car, there are passenger catamarans that connect Split with Bol. These are faster and leave us directly in the town, from where Playa de Zlatni Rat is a short distance away.

Once on the Island of Brač

Once you arrive on Brač, especially if you land in Supetar, you will have several options to get to Bol and, therefore, to Playa de Zlatni Rat:

• Local bus: There is a regular bus service connecting Supetar with Bol. The schedules are synchronized with ferry arrivals, which makes the transfer easier for us. The bus journey offers us the opportunity to admire the island's inland landscape.
• Taxi or private transfer: If you are looking for greater comfort or are traveling in a group, you can opt for a taxi or book a private transfer from Supetar to Bol. It is a more expensive option, but it guarantees us a direct trip with no waiting.
• Rental car: Renting a car is an excellent option if you wish to explore the island at your own pace. You will find rental agencies in both Split and Supetar. The road from Supetar to Bol is picturesque and well-maintained, and allows us to take the car to the parking lot near the beach.

From Bol to the Beach

Once in Bol, Playa de Zlatni Rat is about 2 kilometers west of the town center. We suggest these ways to get there:

• Walking: It is, without a doubt, the most charming option. A paved, pine-shaded path runs along the coast, connecting Bol with the beach. It is a 20-30 minute walk that allows us to enjoy sea views and the breeze. Ideal for those who appreciate contact with nature.
