How to Get to Playa de Lovrečina

Getting to Playa de Lovrečina is part of the adventure, especially if you're coming from the mainland. The most common way to access the island of Brač is by taking a ferry from Split to Supetar, the island's main port city. Connections are frequent during the high season, and the ferry ride is an experience in itself, offering spectacular views of the Adriatic and the surrounding islands.

Once in Supetar, we have several options to reach the beach. Playa de Lovrečina is located about 4 kilometers east of the charming village of Postira, so our intermediate destination will be this picturesque fishing settlement. We can choose:

• Car: This is the most flexible option. From Supetar, follow the main road east towards Postira. Once in Postira, signs will guide you to Lovrečina. There is a parking lot (paid during high season) near the beach, although it can fill up quickly on the busiest days in July and August. We recommend arriving early to secure a good spot.
• Bus: There are bus lines connecting Supetar with Postira. From Postira, the journey to Lovrečina is a bit more complicated on foot due to the distance and lack of sidewalks in some sections, although it's feasible for the more adventurous. Some visitors opt for a taxi from Postira or even a bike ride if they are cycling enthusiasts.
• Water taxi: From Postira, especially in summer, it's possible to find water taxis that take you directly to Lovrečina bay, offering a spectacular arrival from the sea. This option is ideal if you want to avoid traffic and enjoy a private mini-cruise.
• Hiking/Cycling: For nature lovers, there are trails and paths connecting Postira with the bay. It's a beautiful option, especially in spring or autumn, but requires good physical condition and carrying water, as the path can be sunny.

The Sand and Water

In a country where most beaches are pebble or rock, finding an expanse of fine, golden sand is a true rarity and a much-appreciated treasure.
