How to Get to Cala Figuera

By Private Car

The most comfortable and flexible option for most visitors is, without a doubt, the car. From Palma, the capital, the journey takes approximately 45-50 minutes. We will take the Ma-19 towards Santanyí. Once in Santanyí, we follow the signs to Cala Figuera. The roads are well-signposted and in good condition. It is important to consider that, as it is a fishing village with narrow streets, parking can be a challenge, especially during the summer months (July and August) and on weekends. There are free parking areas near the port, but they tend to fill up quickly. Our advice is to arrive early in the morning to secure a good spot, or consider visiting in the low season for a more relaxed experience. Sometimes, you have to park a bit further away and enjoy a pleasant downhill walk to the port, which is already part of the visual experience and hints at the beauty awaiting us.

Public Transport

Although the car offers more freedom, we can also reach Cala Figuera using public transport, albeit with some limitations. From Palma, we can take a TIB (Transport de les Illes Balears) bus to Santanyí. Once in Santanyí, Cala Figuera is about 4-5 kilometers away. From there, we could opt for a local taxi or, if we feel energetic, enjoy a walk of approximately 45-60 minutes, which will allow us to appreciate the surrounding rural landscape. It is essential to check the bus schedules, as frequency can vary considerably between high and low season, and direct connections to Cala Figuera are limited or non-existent.

By Bicycle

For cycling enthusiasts, the route to Cala Figuera can be a fantastic option. The roads leading to the port offer beautiful landscapes and are passable, although there are some ups and downs that require a moderate level of fitness.
