How to Get to Cala Falcó

Getting to Cala Falcó is relatively easy, although its semi-hidden location gives it that 'secret' air we love so much. We always recommend the flexibility of a car for exploring Mallorca, and in this case, it's the most comfortable option. From Palma, the capital, the journey takes approximately 20-25 minutes. You should take the Ma-1 highway towards Andratx and then the exits towards Palmanova or Magaluf, following the signs to El Toro or Port Adriano. Pay attention to the signs that will guide you specifically to Cala Falcó, as it's a bit off the main roads. There is a free parking area, although with limited capacity, just before the descent to the cove, so in high season we advise arriving early to secure a spot. Once parked, a small path through the pine trees will lead you directly to the sand.

If you prefer public transport, things get a bit more complicated, as there is no direct bus line that drops you off right at the cove. You can take a bus from Palma (lines 104, 105, 106) to the stops in Magaluf or El Toro, and from there, you would have to walk a considerable distance (about 20-30 minutes) or take a taxi. Honestly, to fully enjoy the comfort and access to the surroundings, the car is the best choice. If you are cycling enthusiasts, it's also a pleasant route to pedal from nearby towns like Santa Ponça or Palmanova, enjoying the coastal landscape.

The Sand and Water

The underwater visibility is exceptional, making it an ideal place for snorkeling, even for beginners. You can observe small fish swimming among the rocks on the side or in the meadows of Posidonia oceanica (a vital marine plant for the Mediterranean ecosystem) found a bit further out. Being protected from currents and wind, the sea is usually calm, almost like a natural pool, and the water temperature is pleasantly warm during the summer months. This combination of fine sand and calm, crystal-clear waters is what, in our opinion, elevates Cala Falcó to the category of a coastal gem.

Despite its size and more relaxed atmosphere, Cala Falcó does not lack the essential services to make your beach day as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We greatly appreciate that a beach, no matter how natural, offers basic comforts, and here we find them. The most notable service is, without a doubt, its chiringuito, which integrates perfectly into the surroundings. This establishment offers refreshing drinks, ice creams, and a selection of light meals and simple dishes, perfect for an informal lunch by the sea. It's ideal for not having to worry about bringing food and drink, and being able to extend your stay at the cove.

In addition to the chiringuito, you'll find sun umbrellas and sun loungers available for rent, which is a great advantage if you don't want to carry your own equipment. This allows you to secure a good spot in the shade and enjoy extra comfort. It also has showers to rinse off the salt and sand before leaving, and clean, well-maintained bathrooms/WCs, a detail we always value positively. During the high season, the presence of lifeguards ensures the safety of bathers, offering peace of mind especially to families with children.
