Access by Car

The most comfortable way is by car. From Tarragona, take the N-340 heading north, looking for signs towards Platja Llarga. You will need to park in one of the designated areas near the road or in nearby urbanizations. The parking is not right at the cove; you will need to take a walk on trails, which are often uneven, descending towards the cove. This walk, about 5-15 minutes, offers spectacular views. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

Access by Public Transport

There is no direct bus to the cove. You can use Tarragona's urban bus lines (e.g., line 12 or 11) that go to Platja Llarga. From the nearest stop, you will need to walk north along the Camí de Ronda, a coastal path that connects several coves. It is a scenic walk, ideal for exploring the coastline on foot.

The Beauty of Simplicity: Few Services, Lots of Nature

Cala de la Roca Plana is, by its essence, a virgin cove. This means we will not find direct services such as showers, toilets, chiringuitos, umbrella rentals, or lifeguards. Accessibility is also limited due to access by trail and uneven terrain. The only 'service' we can consider is the possibility of Parking in the vicinity, although, as mentioned, it requires a subsequent walk.

We always advise preparing well for the visit: bring plenty of water, something to snack on, an umbrella, and, of course, a bag to collect all your waste and leave the cove as you found it, respecting its purity. If you need more complete services, we suggest heading to larger nearby beaches, such as Platja Llarga or those in Tamarit and La Móra, where you will indeed find a broader offering.
