From Shkodra, the journey to Velipojë and, by extension, to Vilun, is approximately 30-40 kilometers and takes about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic and road conditions. By Car
- From Shkodra: Take the main road heading west towards Velipojë. Once in Velipojë, follow the signs south, skirting the coast, until you reach the Vilun area. There are parking areas, often informal but sufficient, near the beach.

Once in the center of Velipojë, you can take a local taxi or, if the distance allows and you enjoy walking, head on foot towards Playa de Vilun, which is located a bit further south of the main Velipojë hub. Please note that bus schedules may be less frequent outside the high season.

Playa de Vilun welcomes us with a considerable stretch of sand, predominantly fine and of a light grayish tone, very common in this part of the Albanian Adriatic coast.
