The beach is located between the municipalities of Sopela and Getxo, which offers us several access options. Generally, the most common access is from Sopela, where we have various infrastructures that facilitate arrival.

Access by Car and Parking

If we choose to go by car, the best route is to head towards Sopela. At the top of the cliffs bordering the beach, we will find several parking areas. During the high season, especially on summer weekends, these areas can fill up quickly, so we recommend arriving early. From the parking lot, the descent to the beach is on foot via a well-marked path, although with a certain slope. This path, although a bit demanding on the way back, rewards us with spectacular views of the coastline. For us, it's a small 'sacrifice' worth making for the beauty that awaits us below.

Public Transport

For those who prefer public transport, the most comfortable option is the metro. Line 1 of the Metro Bilbao takes us directly to Sopela or Larrabasterra (also in Sopela). From both stations, we can take a local shuttle bus that brings us closer to the cliff area, or enjoy a pleasant 20-30 minute walk to the beach access. This is an excellent alternative to avoid parking problems and enjoy the scenery without worries. The connection with Bilbao is fantastic, which makes visiting much easier if we are staying in the Biscay capital.
